Monday, April 27, 2015 Guest Speaker Dr. Dubey & Interact Club

The Rockville High School Interact Club recently provided funds for cataract surgeries that will restore vision to several poor and currently blind patients in India through the Rotary eye care program.

      A friendship chain was given by India eye surgeon and Rotarian Dr. Awadh Dubey (on left) to Interact members (L-R) Jayci Wicker, Bailey Vukovits, Ashton White and Libby Asher who represented the over 30 members of the Club.

    The Interact program gives young people ages 14-18 an opportunity to participate in fun, meaningful service projects while developing leadership skills and meeting new friends.   

     Interact is one of the most significant and fastest-growing programs of Rotary service, with more than 11,000 clubs in 120 countries and geographical areas, Interact has become a worldwide phenomenon. Almost 250,000 young people are involved in Interact.
